Salsa Jeans’ social responsibility initiative, dedicated to the social and professional reintegration of women in vulnerable situations, was carried out in partnership with the Incorpora network of the “la Caixa” Foundation. Between March and June, Reborn brought together a group that began with 20 women, making it the largest edition of the programme since its launch in 2023.
The programme began on 10 March at Teatro Nacional São João in Oporto and included 10 personal and professional development sessions led by more than 20 Salsa Jeans employees who volunteered for the project.
This fourth edition also strengthened the individual mentoring component, with support tailored to each participant’s needs and goals. New additions included a module dedicated to women’s health, focused on breast cancer prevention. Participants also took part in a guided tour of Teatro Nacional São João as part of the personal development journey promoted by the project.
More than 10 participants completed the programme in full, while the others discontinued their participation after starting work or enrolling in full-time training programmes.
«With each edition, Reborn reminds us that change begins when someone starts believing in themselves again. Our role is to create the conditions for each woman to regain confidence, develop new skills and build her own path», stresses Mónica Ovaia, human resources and talent manager at Salsa Jeans and co-founder of the project.
Since its launch, Reborn has supported more than 50 women, consolidating its position as one of Salsa Jeans’ social responsibility initiatives.
